Bob Bugnand pieces are pretty rare. When you do see them they tend to be smashing fabulous gowns or cocktail dresses. I have never seen a jumpsuit before and its so fabulous I was pretty excited to have it! Its tiny but perfect - made of a paisley print pink silk twill that is backed with silk at the bottom and sturdier cotton through the top. This gives it weight and allows for Mr Bugnand to have structured it a bit more then the fabric would have warranted on its own. It has a string forties vibe to it mixed with a certain girlish 60s mod feel. The pink is lighter then the photos portray - its a true soft pastel pink. Cut simple through the bodice with lots of couture level seaming to make it shape perfectly to the torso, it flares out from the waist in a delicious cascade of fabric forming two wide, wide legs! The original belt wraps and hooks with a charming little flat bow and the original scarf is also present - I have draped it over the shoulders but you could sling it around the hip or use it as a head scarf! In wonderful condition it is a real rarity and surely a one of a kind!
